BetOnline was widely expected to release odds this weekend (along with all their football betting) on another exciting gambling option.  Will Mark Robinson be dropping out of the North Carolina governor's race.

You don't have to live in North Carolina to love (or hate) this salacious story.

We have the allegations below...The following is graphic.  Reader discretion advised.  Remove small children if on audio reader.

The Mark Robinson Allegations

The comments predate his entry into politics and current stint as North Carolina’s lieutenant governor.  They appeared on the site "Nude Africa", which features a pornographic message board.  CNN says it was able to link the comments to emails and accounts belonging to Robinson, who is black.  He denies it was him who made them.

  • "I'm a black Nazi!"
  • “I came to a spot that was a dead end but had two big vent covers over it! It just so happened it overlooked the showers! I sat there for about an hour and watched as several girls came in and showered."
  • “I went peeping again the next morning but after that I went back the ladder was locked! So those two times where [sic] the only times I got to do it! Ahhhhh memories!!!!”

Publicly, Robinson has made it abundantly clear he is not a fan of transgenders.  Privately, at least in another life, Robinson allegedly expressed fondness for transgenders.

  • “I like watching tranny on girl porn! That’s fucking hot! It takes the man out while leaving the man in! And yeah I’m a ‘perv’ too!”

Robinson also allegedly suggested he would like a return to slavery.

Robinson went on the offensive after learning of the allegations Thursday morning and that CNN would be making them public that day.  He spoke to CNN hours before the story broke.

“This is not us. These are not our words. And this is not anything that is characteristic of me,” Robinson said. Presented with the litany of evidence connecting him with the minisoldr user name on Nude Africa, Robinson said, “I’m not going to get into the minutia of how somebody manufactured this, these salacious tabloid lies.”

He added: “We are not getting out of this race. There are people who are counting on us to win this race."

But Republicans across the entire spectrum condemned the comments with many saying he should get out of the race.  Democrats quietly suggested he should stay in, only because they feel it will help their own candidate win the state.

Polygon, which does not accept customers from the USA, began offering initial wagering options on Robinson dropping out Thursday evening as soon as CNN first broke the story.

Remarkably, gamblers "wrongly" believed the GOP candidate for governor would drop out, 67% of them.

U.S. politicians have no shame, we are learning in recent years.  That applies to both ends of the aisle (New Jersey Democrat Senator Bob Menendez, New York Republican Congressman George Sanchez, the list goes on).  By Friday morning, Robinson's chances of dropping out were closer to zero (5%) with nearly $62,000 bet thus far.
